I’m not being morbid. The term 'morgue file' originally referred to paper folders “containing old files and notes that were kept by criminal investigators, and old article clippings kept by newspaper reporters, in case they became of later use as a quick-reference.” (wiki)

Designers keep morgue files of inspiration for use in later projects. I’ve got an accordion file at home that’s at least a dozen years old, stuffed with torn-out magazine pages, type treatments, fabric scraps, photographs, and more. And as much as I love print, there’s a lot of cool stuff to be found on the internet. Thank God for Tumblr.
